TALABook: A Professional Book Club

TALABook is a professional book club in which  participants read about and discuss topics such as healthcare trends, the future of care, Alzheimer’s, and leadership, among other topics pertinent to elevating the knowledge of assisted living professionals. TALABook events include an overview of the book and live discussion and Q&A with the author.

Through TALABook, TALA has dove into topics of interest to the professionals in aging services who wish to stay informed and knowledgeable about the latest subjects relevant to their field. TALABook events frequently feature Texas-based authors and well-respected leaders in their subjects. 

TALA's first-ever TALABook event dove into the growing presence of AI in healthcare with The Doctor and the Algorithm: Promise, Peril, and the Future of Health AI, which combines insights from science and technology studies, critical algorithm studies, and public interest informatics to better understand the promise and peril of health AI. 

TALA has also explored everything from memory loss in Love Remembers: Holding on to Hope and Faith in the Face of Early-Onset Alzheimer’s to building professional relationships with Connect: Building Exceptional Relationships with Family, Friends, and Colleagues.
