Urinary tract infections are among the most commonly diagnosed infections in older adults. The incidence rate in women over age 85 is almost 30%. It is time we take a more sophisticated approach to managing UTIs in our residents. The good news is we can partner with labs, pharmacies, and primary care providers to help tackle this challenge. Compounding factors include increased acuity and the increased role of AL in healthcare. During this webinar we will discuss effective treatment approaches, standards of care, and avoiding overtreatment.
