Overview of TALA Educational Offerings
New to Assisted Living? Start here: Becoming an Assisted Living Manager.
TALA offers both portions of the required 24-Hour course for new Assisted Living Managers: the Texas Regulations Class (8 hours) and the Administrator's Overview Class(16 hours) virtually and in-person.
TALA hosts a yearly conference each April, providing participants the opportunity to earn continuing education credits, including NAB and nursing CEs. This event allows attendees to connect with fellow senior living professionals and explore the annual industry expo.
This new platform will centralize TALA’s courses, webinars, events, and resources, offering both live and on-demand content for members and non-members alike. The learning center is user-friendly and will greatly enhance your learning experience. You can track your progress in real time, store your TALA completion certificates, and explore a variety of courses, including CEU opportunities and specialized dementia training (coming soon), including the new dementia training required for all employees in certain settings. This includes the 24-hour course mandated for new Assisted Living Managers by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
