24-Hour Assisted Living Manager’s Course

TALA provides the Texas Regulations Class (8 hours) and the Administrator’s Overview Class (16 hours) either virtually or in-person. Taking both courses will satisfy the 24-hour Assisted Living Managers Class requirement by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. Participants can choose to combine both formats based on their preferences. These classes are approved by the State of Texas for Assisted Living Managers or for continuing education credit. Annual TALA Conference and Industry Expo

TALA hosts an annual conference in April of each year where attendees can earn continuing education credits. Attendees can network with other senior living professionals and attend our annual trade show to speak with exhibitors who cater to the senior living industry. Conference also offers NAB and Nursing credits. Follow updates on the conference page.

Dementia Intensive

TALA and James L. West Center for Dementia Care have partnered to bring a one-day virtual dementia course. Join Dementia care experts and earn your required 6 hours of dementia specific continuing education units. Click here for more on TALA's dementia-specific offerings.

Dementia Specialist Training

James L West Dementia Center and the Texas Assisted Living Association are partnering on a Dementia Specialist Training program. The training will help caregivers in their interactions with residents with dementia and give them an understanding of how caregiving differs when a resident has dementia. It will provide real world techniques and a strong foundation for those who care for residents with dementia. Leadership Development Series

TALA's new Leadership Development Series (LDS) was created to provide a senior-living specific leadership foundation for new and existing senior living employees as they transition into a supervisory leadership role.

TALAHour Webinar Series

TALA Industry Partners share their expertise with attendees by hosting a lunch and learn free and informative webinar covering a variety of topics geared for the Assisted Living industry. TALAHour webinars are available to all who want to tune-in to learn more!
